Buckwheat with mushrooms

















Buckwheat is an amaizingly delicious and nutritious food, containing  a whole bunch of microelements. It is extremely beneficial for health and...very popular in Russia. There are all thinkable variations of buckwheat dishes. Here is one with mushrooms.

Ingredients for 6-8 serves:

- 11 oz mushrooms
- 1 cup buckwheat
- 1 big onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 cups water
- oil
- salt and pepper

How to:

1. Chop the onion, crush and mince the garlic. Chop the mushrooms.
2. Heat oil in a pot and saute onion and garlic for a couple of minutes. Then add the mushrooms and saute for about 5-7 minutes.
3. Finally add the buckwheat. 

Pour in 2 cups of boiling water, add salt and pepper. 


Stew for approximately 15-20 minutes. The water should evaporate completely.
