Fried buns with apple filling

This is a very simple recipe of delicious fried buns. They are made with various fillings, here we have them with apples.

Ingredients for the dough:

- 0.39 oz dry yeast
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 6 tbsp. oil
- approx. 3 cups flour

How to:

1. Make dough by mixing in a bowl all the ingredients one by one. Cover the dough and put into a warm place to let it rise.

Meanwhile make the filling.

For the filling:

- 3 apples
- 4-5 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. starch

1. Peel the apples and take out the seeds. Cut them into small cubes, put into a sauce pan, add sugar and starch. Constantly stirring the apples bring them to the boil. Remove from the stove and let cool.
2. Once the dough has risen punch it down, divide into small balls (smaller than tangerines). Roll out every ball into a circle. Put a spoon or so of the filling in the middle and pinch up the edges pulling them to the center (as if forming a small bag). Then flatten it a bit.
3. Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the buns on a low fire on each side (first fry on the sealed side) until golden brown.
