Russian apple pie Sharlotka


Ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup + 3 tbsp. flour
- vanilla sugar
- 3 big sour apples like Granny Smith
How to:

1. Preheat the oven to 365-400 degrees. Greas slightly the baking form and sprinkle a bit with flour.
2. Cut the apples in cubes.
3. Separate the yokes from the whites. Start whipping the yokes gradually adding sugar. Finally add the yokes and whip for another 2-3 minutes. Take a wooden spoon and stir well the batter adding the flour step by step.
4. Put the half of the apples into the baking form. Pour over the half of the batter. Then put the second half of the apples and pour over the rest of the batter. Put the form into the oven and bake 45-55 minutes. Don’t open the oven the first 30 minutes!
